Therapy Intensives
What to expect
Drawing on environmental psychology and my clinical expertise, I design longer sessions held over two or three days, combining in-office work with walking or hiking.
Sessions are tailored to you — built around themes and goals we identify together. For current and returning clients, this work deepens what we’ve already explored. If you’ve been referred by your current therapist, I’ll collaborate closely with them to ensure continuity and that what you gain carries forward into your ongoing work.
Walks and hikes are matched to your pace and fitness — this is time for connection and reflection, rather than exertion.
What outdoor sessions can offer:
∙ A shift in how your brain processes emotion
∙ A more regulated nervous system
∙ Changes in cognitive and emotional states
∙ Greater insight and clarity
∙ Stronger psychological resilience
While I don’t offer hospitality services, I’m happy to help you find the right part of town to stay in and make sure you’re prepared for Bend’s changeable weather. Feel free to reach out with any questions about how intensives are structured or what to expect.
Why IN NATURE?
The benefits of movement and time in nature go well beyond the physical — they change how we think and feel. Environmental neuroscience has shown that being in nature improves attention, focus, memory, and cognitive function, while directly reducing stress, depression, and anxiety. Research suggests these effects can be as significant as common anti-anxiety and anti-depressant medications.
Combined with the well-established mood benefits of physical movement, outdoor sessions offer a genuinely powerful therapeutic environment — one that works alongside the session itself.
I invite you to join me in Bend, Oregon to experience change through therapy in nature.
